perspective is power. What matters most is not the landscape of your past or the weight of present circumstances, it’s your perspective towards the future. What matters most is what you expect from life, from you. Perspective is courage, hope, Faith, peace, and love. With the right perspective, immeasurably more is possible.

What does the 3:20 Scholarship mean to you?

The 3:20 Scholarship is symbolic of purpose. The 3:20 Scholarship is intentionally redefining what it means to be a scholarship and a participant of the human race. It represents timeless values and character strengths. It’s much more than money, it’s community. The 3:20 Scholarship represents the spirit of immeasurably more, a power that’s within each of us.

I believe in leadership. Leaders, defined as those who take care of others to accomplish a mission, have the capacity to not only effect positive change within organizations and teams, but most importantly, better the lives of those around them. When leadership is done right, it can change the world and make it a better place for everyone.

What does the 3:20 Scholarship mean to you?

I want to give back to the community that got me to where I am today. I have been blessed with the ability to serve my country and lead young airmen from all over the country. I have seen several countries in the Middle East and helped make life better for those without a voice. I could not have been where I am today if it were not for my mentors and teachers at Arcadia High School and the surrounding area. I want to be able to set those high schoolers with unlimited potential up for success in their careers and ambitions. The 3:20 Scholarship continues the tradition of integrity, leadership, and service that Accomack County Schools instills in our future.

we all have something positive to give to the world.

What does the 3:20 Scholarship mean to you?

It means understanding one’s path in finding the spaces in which someone can give all they can to the world. Finding your path can be difficult on your own, but through guidance and introspection, we can better understand the spaces we are filling with ourselves.

in the power of purpose, effort, and perseverance. Everyone has a purpose in life and I would like to facilitate personal and spiritual growth for first year college students, which will ultimately promote a deeper understanding of themselves and their purpose.  By developing a deeper sense of self and putting effort towards their goals, these young adults will be in a position where they can continue to inspire future leaders.

What does the 3:20 Scholarship mean to you?

The 3:20 Scholarship is a unique opportunity that provides a sense of community and empowers young leaders to discover and fulfil their purpose in life. As a mentor, I see first hand how this scholarship positively impacts students during a critical transition in life. This scholarship not only focuses on education, but also helps students develop a deeper sense of self which will contribute to our goal of building future leaders.

The 3:20 Scholarship represents the idea of “Immeasurably more”. This means that when we push beyond our own limits, the possibilities are endless. It means finding your WHY and joining others who are doing the same. Immeasurably more means learning and growing from your mistakes and getting to know and fall in love with yourself. When we give people the opportunity to succeed without limits, it will lead to personal fulfillment and the IMMEASURABLY MORE!

I believe in the power of education.

What does the 3:20 Scholarship mean to you?

The 3:20 Scholarship gives others the opportunity to pursue their hopes and dreams. Everyone has a purpose in life. By supporting individuals in finding that purpose, our hope is to inspire them to take their knowledge and talents out into the world and make a difference. “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” —William Shakespeare

(finish this statement) I believe...

I believe, that changing the world begins with you. The world will become a better place, when people try to influence people in a truly positive manner. As Jimi Hendrix once said, “when the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.” Everyday is an opportunity to affect some ones day, everyday you have the opportunity to make someones life a little brighter.

What does the 3:20 Scholarship mean to you?

The 3:20 Scholarship offers a chance to shape our country's future and positively impact others. By sharing my experiences, I can help young adults avoid making the same mistakes and make the most of their first year. Finding a mentor changed my life, something I wish I had found earlier, which makes me want to provide guidance earlier to others. In short, the 3:20 Scholarship signifies to me an opportunity to pay it forward, and opportunity for these young adults to get the most out of their college experience.

I believe that every person has inherent worth and it is our job to remind those who may have forgotten theirs and speak up for those who never knew they had any.

What does the 3:20 Scholarship mean to you?

For me, The 3:20 Scholarship means helping young adults navigating their fledgling voyage into the world, watching them grow their beautiful plumage, and fly.
